Getting Google Adsense approval is one of the biggest struggles for bloggers, especially if you’re just starting or you’re running a small blog from Nigeria. I know this because I’ve been there, not really because of your location but there are many factors that contribute to the rejection

If you’ve applied for Adsense before and got rejected, first of all — Welcome to the struggle.

I’ve had websites rejected multiple times in the past, and at some point, I even started thinking Adsense was just luck or favoritism.

But that changed when I finally found out what works for me.

As at today, I’ve successfully gotten 4 different websites approved for Google Adsense, and they were not big websites with massive traffic, All of them were still very small when i got Adsense on them.

My Google Adsense Approved Sites

In this article, I want to walk you through the exact strategy I used, so you can understand what is important when applying for Adsense and stop wasting time guessing if you’re doing the right thing or not.

So, Let’s get into the details in full…

Why Most Blogs Get Rejected by Google Adsense

Before I talk about the strategy, it’s important to understand why most Adsense applications fail.

From my experience, Google doesn’t just reject blogs just because of traffic. That’s a common misconception, and trust me, I’ve seen blogs with thousands of visitors still get rejected, while smaller ones get approved on the first try.

Most rejections usually come from things like:

  • Poor content quality
  • Rushed or copied articles
  • Missing important pages
  • Confusing website structure
  • Not looking like a serious website

I know you’ve seen or read something similar to what I just listed and say Here we go again but this is an actual fact and something you need to take seriously because immediately I understood this, I started focusing on what mattered to build actual trust and structure.

My Mindset Before Applying for Adsense

One thing I changed completely was my mindset.

Instead of asking “How do I get Adsense fast?”, I started asking “If I were Google, would I trust this website with ads?”

That question alone helped me slow down and build my sites properly before applying.

I treated every website like a real business, not just a blog trying to make money quickly.

The Type of Websites I Got Approved

Just to be clear, the websites I got approved were Content-based websites and properly structured blogs focused on one main topic or niche.

They were not spammy sites. They were not filled with copied content. And they were not empty either, each site had a clear purpose, and that is something i will urge you to do as well

The Exact Strategy I Used for All 4 Websites

This is the most important part of this article, so pay attention and digest everything properly

I didn’t use different strategies for each website. I followed the same process every single time, and it worked.

1. Publish Enough Original Content First

Before applying for Adsense, I made sure each website had at least 20 to 30 well written articles.

Not just short posts or spammy AI contents. I’m talking Proper articles that actually help someone.

Each article was original, Solved a real problem and was written in simple English that was easy to read by everyone

I also avoided publishing random content just to increase post count. Every article had a reason to exist on the website.

2. Fix All Important Pages

This part is where many some bloggers fail. Before applying, you need to make sure you have these important pages on your website, For me, I made sure my websites had:

  • About Us page
  • Contact Us page
  • Privacy Policy
  • Terms and Conditions

These pages were not empty either, they were properly written, and I linked to them in the menu or footer.

Google wants to see that there’s a real person or brand behind the website, which is why these pages are very important and mandatory.

3. Make Sure the Website Looks Clean and Professional

I didn’t use complicated designs on my websites which is something i’ve seen some people do while applying for adsense, you need to make sure that you use a clean and simple theme with very good user interface and experience.

Make sure your site is;

  • Easy to navigate
  • Has a clear menu
  • Has useful categories

Make sure there are no broken pages, and you don’t have any “Hello World” posts or thin content. Thin contents are posts that do not provide any real value to the user, are not well-detailed, too short, or lack complete information.

No empty categories should be on your website. I recommend you create only four (4) categories and make sure each category has at least 5 posts in it. After Google Adsense approval, you can then add as many categories as you want.

4. Avoid Copyright and Low Quality Content

This is very important, you should make sure you avoid copying articles from other websites, do not post lyrics or movies illegally, abstain from scraping content, and don’t rewrite news word for word. Even when I rewrote content, I had to make sure it was well explained in my own words because Google is very strict about content ownership.

5. Let the Website Stay Active for Some Time

I didn’t apply immediately. It’s a good idea to not apply immediately your site is launched, you should give it some time and let your website grow for sometime. I recommend you let your website:

  • Stay live for some weeks
  • Get indexed by Google
  • And start receiving small organic traffic naturally from search engines

Even if the traffic is small, let it be consistent — This is Very Important, the website will look active and alive to google when reviewing it.

6. Apply for Adsense the Right Way

When it’s time to apply, use your correct details, make sure the domain name matches and don’t rush the process

When i applied for mine, I persevered and never gave up.

Some sites got rejected multiple times but i kept applying and improving my website while my other site was approved within days.

So some sites may take longer even when you’ve done everything correctly, But they will eventually get approved if you stay consistent.

Things I Did Not Focus On

This might surprise you but I didn’t focus on Huge traffic, Backlinks, Fancy SEO tools or even Social media followers . These things are good, but they are not the main reason Adsense approves or rejects a website.

What This Strategy Taught Me

Getting Adsense approval is not magic but about Trust, Content quality, Website structure and Patience, Once I understood all these, Adsense approval stopped being a struggle to me.

If You’re Still Getting Rejected

If your website keeps getting rejected, you shouldn’t panic, just go back and check:

  • Your content quality
  • Your pages
  • Your website layout
  • Your niche focus

Most of the time the issue is something small that can easily be fixed, But if the rejection is becoming too much and you’re getting traffic on your website then i recommend you Monetise your website with these Google Adsense Alternatives for some time and re-apply for adsense in the future.

This is the End 🙂

If I could get 4 different websites approved for Google Adsense, you can too.

You don’t need to follow shortcuts. You don’t need tricks and don’t let anybody scam you in the name of quick approval or aproval scripts. You just need to build your website like it matters and make it feel and look original and professional.
